Nothing excites the craft beer drinker more than an IPA, almost the flagship beer of the American Craft beer Revolution. This beer is far different from the stuffy sub 4% beers found in some back street pubs with more similarities to the traditional IPA’s brewed in the 18th century. These beers were brewed to slake the thirst of the British troops garrisoned in India and were heavily hopped and relatively high in alcohol to survive the arduous journey round the southern tip of South Africa. Simcoe, Chinook and Centennial Hops

tastes like proper beer

This is the best kit I;ve ever made. I;ve just bought my fifth one. Strong and hoppy, can be a bit citrus but in a good way. This is the first kit I;ve made that doesn;t taste like home brew but actually tastes like a decent commercial pint. Heartily recommended. (Oct 23 2018, 21:07 PM)

What a Beer!

Have brewed 3 of these now, and what a superb beer it is. We put a barrel on every year for our family holiday in Scotland and it is a family favourite. Smooth, hoppy and pretty strong too - I'd recommend moderation to start with. It takes a bit of time to ferment, and to clear in the barrel, but is SO worth the wait. We would happily pay £3.50 a pint for this in a pub. Buy one! (Apr 18 2018, 20:50 PM)

crazy fermentation

I love this kit, it's really easy to make and tastes amazing, takes a little longer than some so I keep 2 batches on the go. It's primary fermentation is a little crazy so make sure you don't put on anything you want to keep clean. (Jan 30 2017, 16:09 PM)

try this kit

A really good kit- my first try at home brew. Very easy to understand and follow the instructions. Good quality packaging and labelled contents. Everything seemed to be good quality from the result... And what a result! Very potent and delicious. Throw caution to the wind and try this kit. At the very least it's fun for a few weeks watching your new ale bubble away whilst you wait to sample it. 10/10. (Jan 30 2017, 16:08 PM)

Happily Pay For It In a pub

Just having a pint now. This is a truly exceptional American IPA. I have to keep reminding myself its home brew. A friend who knows his craft ales said he would happily pay for it in a pub. I'll be ordering another one soon.... (Jan 30 2017, 16:07 PM)
