This is only the second beer that I've made from extract and I've just racked it measuring an abv of 8.8%. I added the hops at around 5 days in and the beer tastes not too hoppy and maybe just a little sweet. Going to leave it to condition in the keg at about 22C for a few days and then for a couple of weeks at ambient garage temperature. Looking very promising. Kit arrived as described but beware needs priming sugar.Anonymous (Jan 30 2017, 15:51 PM)
This kit produces a beer that is reminiscent of carlsberg special brew but arguably more drinkable. a really strong but delicious beer. Follow the instructions, put the hops in 2 to 3 days before bottling and enjoy .Anonymous (Jan 30 2017, 15:50 PM)
This is a great ale. It needs more than three weeks to carbonate and condition. If you can wait, it will reward you with a sensational moderate ruby. It is well worth the money as you will need to drink it like a very strong export ale or a light wine. Easy to make and addictively good.Anonymous (Jan 30 2017, 15:48 PM)
