Alpha acid: 13-16%
Beta acid:4.5-5.5%
Co-humulone (% of alpha acids): 30-35%
Use: Dual purpose. American Ales, Pale Ales, Stouts.
Heavily grassy aroma with hints of grapefruit. Mostly used for bittering but it can have dual purpose. Sometimes named Tomahawk or Zeus (strictly, Zeus is every so slightly different but usually bundled up with the other two). Often named CTZ because of the connection with the other two types.
Substitute: Centennial, Chinook, Galena, Nugget
