The famous red grape used for all red Burgundy wines and the majority of Champagnes. The juice is less tannic and richer textured than Cabernet Sauvignon, and therefore it matures more rapidly. Characteristics: Soft, fruity and smooth. Appropriate Foods: Veal, pork, roasts, salmon, duck, young cheeses & game birds.

Pion noir

I think this wine is great, I entered it to a local wine competition, felt a fraud reallf, but it won first prize! My secret?.... I invested in a real oak barrel, the wine after only a few weeks in the barrel is great. Id say its over £10 a bottle if you could buy it! Kiaora! (Jul 21 2017, 16:05 PM)

Lazy Reviewer

I think I've had all the reds and at least 4 of the white/Rose and it's hard to fault any. I like the Barolo best myself but my wife a white wine drinker mostly loves the Cabernet Sauvignon - smells lovely. However in summary of all my friends comments I suggest the Pinot Noir has the widest recognition. Delivery as always fantastic. Order yourself 2-3 and get prepared for Christmas.
