This variety was developed around year 2000, it belongs to the "Super Alpha" class with a high alpha to beta ratio. Powerful bittering if early kettle addition but can also be used later in the kettle. Strong citrus, tangerine, orange aromas. Summit is a semi-dwarf variety, the first of its kind originating in the United States.
