Alcotec 48 Turbo Yeast is probably the best selling turbo in the world. It is based around a "pure" yeast strain which is a temperature tolerant, high alcohol distillers strain. With the unique precisely composed nutrition, containing the nitrogen source, pH regulator, trace minerals, vitamins and an antifoaming agent, it is the perfect yeast compound for creating a high alcohol wash. It has a "dual" use, you can either use it for 20% (21% in special circumstances) alcohol in 5-6 days, or 14% in 48 hours (hence the name). The alcohol level is simply determined by the amount of sugar you add at start. Alcotec 48 includes mineral absorbents for ultra purity.

tASTE Amazing

Tried this with apple juice, was extremely cloudy (even though I used finings) until the last litre. Certainly still drinkable. I got it to around 14% but was very lackadaisical about making it, I think if I worked harder on it I would get more than 14%. taste amazing, will have to tweak my recipe (I used 25L apple juice and topped it off with the sugar minus how much was in the apple juice) but certainly gets me drunk. Well worth the price but look forward to trying it properly and maybe getting a filter (Or a carbon pack).Tim Munton (11 Apr 2017, 16:06)

aMAZING

This stuff is amazing !!! And I have since ordered more. I was a first time Home Brewer & just followed the simple instructions I managed to produce a wonderful plum wine & also a black berry wine ...that now tastes more like a fortified wine & is quite potent to say the least. Froths Like Mad LOL

Does what it says on the pack really. Throw it in and in a few days you'll have a strong wine or must ready for making spirits. Be warned though it will froth like crazy so make sure you leave the top 1/4 of your fermentation bin empty or your kitchen will look like the aftermath of a foam partydOOLA (11 Apr 2017, 16:04)

Trustworthy Yeast

A brilliant product, I use when I am making a spirit or when a wine is struggling to ferment out. It kicks off right away and produces a great spirit and a very much better wine than if I use a regular wine yeast!Denton (11 Apr 2017, 16:03)

Worth moving up a notch?

I used to buy from the On The House (£43) range and was always very happy with them and made dozens of 30 bottle kits up. Until, that is, there was an offer on WineXpert kits at the same price rather than the normal £53. So I had nothing to lose in trying the more expensive kit. I found it was definitely worth the extra tenner (more grape juice giving more depth of flavour). So I now stick with WineXpert even at the higher price. Amazing service

I bought two wine kits and one did not have all the necessary parts, only the grape concentrate. I needed to get this started before we went on holiday, Sam chased it up immediately with the suppliers and I received the missing bits in time to start it before we went away.
