East To Brew

Fruity

Good

This makes a surprisingly good wine. Two things disappoint however. Firstly, it takes longer than 7 days to make this, and secondly, it makes 28 bottles of wine not 30 (going by the universal standard of a bottle of wine being 750ml). So why the need for Youngs to mislead people with this false advertising? I have written to Youngs to ask them this question but hWendy (29 Oct 2016, 09:08)

have been buying cabernet savignon from cellar 7 for over a year now, i dont normally drink red as they tend to be a bit heavy but this one is just right, not sure of avb but its really nice and doesnt give me a headache like a lot of reds. i will certainly carry on buying this one.keith lusted (25 Apr 2014, 13:44)

Worth moving up a notch?

I used to buy from the On The House (£43) range and was always very happy with them and made dozens of 30 bottle kits up. Until, that is, there was an offer on WineXpert kits at the same price rather than the normal £53. So I had nothing to lose in trying the more expensive kit. I found it was definitely worth the extra tenner (more grape juice giving more depth of flavour). So I now stick with WineXpert even at the higher price. I live a long distance away but was staying with relatives for the weekend. Decided to visit the shop and so glad I did. They have everything that a home brewer could possibly need.
