Have been making this one now for years, it is always very good and is further improved by adding 1tsp of sugar per ltr when bottling and let it breathe before drinking. If you add 2tsp of sugar, even those who dont like red wine want more!!! For the amount we get through, best wine and value I have found.Anonymous (8 Sep 2018, 08:06)

Lovely Dark Wine

Made this & in just over 2 weeks ( generally takes a bit longer to ferment than stated on box ) it made a lovely rich tasting Dark Red Wine . Better than some of the supermarket offerings ! Recommended !!Anonymous (29 Aug 2017, 12:31)

Worth moving up a notch?

I used to buy from the On The House (£43) range and was always very happy with them and made dozens of 30 bottle kits up. Until, that is, there was an offer on WineXpert kits at the same price rather than the normal £53. So I had nothing to lose in trying the more expensive kit. I found it was definitely worth the extra tenner (more grape juice giving more depth of flavour). So I now stick with WineXpert even at the higher price. I bought two wine kits and one did not have all the necessary parts, only the grape concentrate. I needed to get this started before we went on holiday, Sam chased it up immediately with the suppliers and I received the missing bits in time to start it before we went away.
