These kits are the easiest to follow compared to some kits. I have been making the Barolo kit now for years and ive never had any problems. The wine is drinkable just after bottling but tastes better as the weeks go by. Its very fruity, rich and quite strong in alcohol, much stronger than others ive tried. The reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because the Kenridge Barolo kit is better, but unfortunately more expensive.Amanda (1 Nov 2014, 12:53)

I have now reviewed 3 of the Beaverdale kits - I only use them and no other . They give perfect and consistent results . The Barrolo is what it says on the tin -- dark and rich and higher in alcohol . The Rioja is great too . So is the California white . You will not be disappointed with any Beaverdale kit - just do exactly what it says and ensure cleanliness . NEVER had a bad result.chris hammond (5 Jun 2014, 19:19)

Very pleased with this excellent kit. I had not made wine for 25 years because I was not able to make wines of the standard I could buy, this kit has corrected that! Easy instructions and fast results. Wine of a good standard 2 months after bottling, interestingly, it improved substantially from 6 to 8 weeks old. Have had positive comments from all my various samplers.Jonathan Cross (18 Feb 2014, 16:26)

I am very new to wine making and after making extensive searches into the best wine to make, I chose this one. WOW !! I followed the easy instructions and waited the 3 months for the wine to mature ( well 2 really ) and the taste was superb !! Forget the supermarket wines ( 3 for £10 ) Make a really exceptional wine for £1:50 a bottlekeith mcmonies (29 Dec 2013, 12:23)

I used to buy from the On The House (£43) range and was always very happy with them and made dozens of 30 bottle kits up. Until, that is, there was an offer on WineXpert kits at the same price rather than the normal £53. So I had nothing to lose in trying the more expensive kit. I found it was definitely worth the extra tenner (more grape juice giving more depth of flavour). So I now stick with WineXpert even at the higher price. It's still less than £2 a bottle.Allan Postgate (30 Dec 2024, 12:58)
